Is it possible to authorize a group of users for editing just one or two articles?

Authorization is based on Mediaitem-type, not per media-item.

You could do this per page, is that suitable for your use-case?
Or create another media-item type (contenttype).

Maybe we can think of other scenario's if you explain why the users should only edit 2 articles.

A small group of people (16 persons)in our organization must be able to put some travel-info on our site (nshispeed.nl), on a few articles. It's easier and safer to protect the other articles and pages so they can't accidently harm the site.
