Sort mediaItem by expiration date

Is there a simple way to sort mediaItems by expiration date?

According to the API MediaItemSortOptions.SortBy you can't sort on expiration date.

Though, if you provide a use case, a Change Request can be made in Jira, so this would become possible in future versions.

Use case: Calendar with images, paragraf, url, etc..

If it's possible to sort mediaItems by experiation date. Then you can "abuse" article's as a calendar item.

and then........ You can finally remove that no use calendar element :-P

Did you see the calendar WCB?

That 're-uses' the media repository, with a new contenttype and provides an element for this (that does quite some more then you could get with just a MediaCollectionElement).

WCB isn't working.

An error occurred while starting 'Calendar' (ID 86) bundle:

what's the wmsutilityservices?
