I am testing contactforms and newsletters, but I am not receiving the mails. Does the community edition come with a built-in mailserver in it's developing environment or do I have to install one myself. If so, which one should I use? Are there any things I have to keep in mind?

As far as I know, you can set the SMTP (mail) server to-be used in the web/setup tool.

Look-up the "smpt_host" setting and fill-in something like: mail.company.com

Give it a try...

For a local environment you can find the setup tool by navigating to:

http://localhost:8080/web/setup

When being logged on as Adminstrator in the GX WebManager edit environment, you can immediately access the setup tool, if not, you have to fill-in your Administrator credentials before accessing the setup tool
