In order to determine whether an issue is correct and complete in Jira we have defined criteria for Bugs, Change Requests and improvements. The criteria are different for these types.
Criteria for Bugs
A registered bug in Jira must comply to these criteria:
- Summary must be filled: A brief one-liner describing the bug as best possible
- Affect version must be filled: In what version of GX WebManager (WM9.x.y) did you find the bug?
- If the Bug affects a customer project, the customer name, due date and impact of not having the bug fixed must be filled. Linking a Bug to a customer will give it higher more attention and higher priority in the change management process.
- Description must be filled: a detailed explanation of the bug.
- How to test must be filled: Provide a reproducible scenario for the bug. If the bug can't be reproduced, it will not be resolved.
Criteria for Change Requests and Improvements
A registered Change Request or Improvement Jira must comply to these criteria:
- Summary must be filled: A brief one-liner describing the bug as best possible
- If the change request or improvement affects a customer project, the customer name, due date and impact of not having the issue resolved must be filled. Linking an issue to a customer will give it higher more attention and higher priority in the change management process.
- Description must be filled: a detailed explanation of the change or improvement.
